At this time of year, in the spirit of the Seibukan martial arts school, Seibukan Budo [SBIF], we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2026, filled with health, calm in the face of adversity, and purpose in every action you undertake.

Martial arts teach us that true strength does not need to impose itself. That self-control is worth more than impulse, and that the best victory is the one that prevents conflict.

In a world where “winning” is sometimes confused with “being right,” and where it is not always possible to express an opinion with freedom and respect, let us remember that practice begins within: listening before responding, understanding before judging, and acting with firmness without losing our humanity.

May these holidays remind us that the path of Budo is not to confront, but to build; not to dominate, but to improve; not to silence others, but to raise the level of dialogue with respect and dignity.

May the new year find us calmer in the storm when it comes, more mindful of respecting those who think differently, and more capable of bringing peace—even when there is confusion and noise around us.

En cette période de l’année, dans l’esprit de l’école d’arts martiaux Seibukan, Seibukan Budo [SBIF], nous souhaitons vous adresser nos vœux de Joyeux Noël et de Bonne Année 2026, placée sous le signe de la santé, du calme face à l’adversité et du sens dans chacune des actions entreprises.

Les arts martiaux nous enseignent que la véritable force n’a pas besoin de s’imposer. Que la maîtrise de soi vaut plus que l’impulsion, et que la meilleure victoire est celle qui évite le conflit.

Dans un monde où l’on confond parfois “gagner” avec “avoir raison”, et où il n’est pas toujours possible d’exprimer une opinion avec liberté et respect, rappelons-nous que la pratique commence à l’intérieur : écouter avant de répondre, comprendre avant de juger, et agir avec fermeté sans perdre notre humanité.

Que ces fêtes nous rappellent que la voie du Budo n’est pas de confronter, mais de construire ; pas de dominer, mais de progresser ; pas de faire taire l’autre, mais d’élever le niveau de la conversation avec respect et dignité.

Que la nouvelle année nous trouve plus calmes dans la tempête lorsqu’elle survient, plus conscients du respect dû à ceux qui pensent différemment, et plus capables d’apporter la paix, même lorsque la confusion et le bruit nous entourent.
