Each journey has its beginning and end, and today we find ourselves in a moment of deep reflection and gratitude as we bid farewell to the All Japan Budo Federation - Seibukan Academy, an entity that has been more than just an organization to us; it has been a beacon of inspiration and a fundamental partner in our martial journey.
Since that first certification in 1986 from Master Suzuki, then becoming a permanent member in 1992, occupying national leadership positions and international coordination in 2010, to the renewed recognition in 2013, each interaction with Seibukan has been a special chapter in our history. Each certification, every meeting, and every gesture of support has left an indelible mark on our martial arts community.
That year marked the beginning of a relationship that has stood the test of time. It marked the start of a partnership based on mutual respect and a shared commitment to the core values of Budo. In 2013, when I, our school, and the Spanish Association of Nihon Taijutsu were recognized once again, we felt a renewed sense of pride and responsibility.
But organizations and their purposes change, and we, faithful to the tradition of the masters and schools that preceded us, remain steadfast in these beliefs and step aside so as not to extinguish the fire that was once shown to us in traditional Budo. And in the face of administrative drift and lack of technical direction, we choose to step back with respect, ensuring that the essence of what we have learned remains alive, even as the path diverges.
Today, in 2023, as we leave our affiliation with the All Japan Budo Federation - Seibukan Academy, we want to express our deepest gratitude for these years. Thank you for being a constant guide on our journey, for challenging us to overcome our limitations, and for being a beacon of authenticity in a world full of challenges.
Our gratitude extends to every member of the organization, from the leaders to the instructors who have contributed to this extraordinary community. Each of you has played a vital role in our history, and we will carry with us the memories and valuable lessons we have gained thus far. Until the moment before the organizational changes that have motivated our departure.
As we close this chapter, we do so with the certainty that what we have learned and experienced will become an integral part of our being and will help us believe even more in the purpose for which our school was founded in 1987, one year after that first recognition.
We look forward with gratitude, and I hope our paths cross again in the future.
Thank you for everything! And as they would say in Japan, Kansha no wakare, I part with gratitude.
