Zaragoza: A Meeting Point for Martial Arts

Zaragoza has established itself as a reference in the teaching of Nihon Taijutsu and Nihon Jujutsu in Spain, and this event was further proof of its importance in promoting traditional Japanese martial arts. The year 2003 marked a milestone in the dissemination of these disciplines with the celebration of the VI Course of the Spanish Wrestling Federation, held in the city of Zaragoza. This event brought together practitioners from the school with the aim of improving their skills, exchanging knowledge, and strengthening the martial arts community.

A High-Level Technical Course with Participants from Madrid and Federation Leaders, José Luis Rivera and Alan Brañas

Under the direction of Master Ricardo Sanz, the course offered an intensive training program covering fundamental aspects of Nihon Taijutsu and Nihon Jujutsu, including:

Atemi-waza techniques (strikes and blocks for opponent control).
Throws and control techniques characteristic of traditional Jujutsu.
Applications in real combat and self-defense.
Training with traditional weapons in the context of Taijutsu.

Participants had the opportunity to receive personalized instruction and practice with fellow martial artists of different skill levels, enriching their learning experience.
