Defespol© was founded in 1996 as a specialized department for self-defense training for members of the State Security Forces and Corps, Private Security Personnel, and the Armed Forces. Currently, it provides professional courses in Official Training Centers in the following AREAS: Security and Protection, Self-Defense, First Aid, Physical Training, Technical-Professional Area, Weapons and Shooting, and Auxiliary Police Weapons.
